My origonal female was about 14in tall & weighed 20 pounds it was comon to find undersize females in the breed. Through the years we bred for cattle working dogs but as time went on there was les demand for workers & more demand for companions, so in the mid 90's we started a breeding program for mimis we bred the little undersize females to undersize males & through the years developed our minis & on down to toy sizes as well. We look for the littlest males from outside stock we can find to buy as long as they look like perebred heelers in a mini size for new bloodlines, we do not inbreed. We have them registered as Queensland Heelers through NAPDR in standard & miniature sizes. As far as we know we are the first to have mini's that are registered in there own catogory as Miniature Queensland Heelers. If they are 12in or less we concider them toy size minis & they usually weigh 10 to 15 pounds. over 12in to 16in are miniature & usually weigh from 15 to 25 pounds.  16 to 17 in  we class as small standards.  17 to 19 in is concidered breed standard for females. 18 to 20in is concidered breed standard for males. Some of our best producing minis we aquired a few years back are out of AKC  show stock of Australian Cattle Dogs  that did not make size for show dogs (much to the dismay of the show breeders) whatever the reason & kept getting smaller with selective breeding. We have added this AKC stock in with our old stile stock in the minis & have had good results. All of our sizes still have working abilits, the minis do good on small livestock & poltry. Most of our standard size dogs still go back to the origonal dogs of the 60's they have ben here on the ranch every generation. We have many colors in all sizes. Blues in many shades, from light silver, to almost black, some a light lavender to a darker purple shade. Reds in many shades as well, from a light Apricot to a dark magonhey. Also Chocolate in many shades, from a light cream to a deep hershey brown, all shades of Chocolate have brown noses it is the inability to be black. Blue slate (very rare) are a silvery/blue with blue nose it is a dilute of black. All colors come in speckled, mottled & roan patterns, they can be from all white to solid. Heelers are born white then color out as they grow. Sometimes they have body spots, which are there at birth & sometimes these spots cover almost the entire body.  White is a lack of the ticking gene that makes them color out as they grow. purebred heelers are not suposed to be born without a tail they are a long tailed breed. They are not suposed to be docked eather. Some people just do not like tails on dogs so want them docked, we dock a few pups so people can have some selection & we will dock tails on request at a young age. Some breeders cull all off colored pups & refuse to admit those colors egist. We do not do that for someone is there to love every pup. Many people like the different colors for they are uneak. SCROLL ON DOWN TO VIEW THE SLIDE SHOW OF OUR SALE ALBUM  & OTHER CATAGORIES.   there are more albums under the slide show photos. { To view the colors of our pups & dogs go to the 2nd album labled COLOR EXAMPLES & cute puppies }
